MikroTik: Instagram SSL Error

 If, on the Access Journey when referring from the Splash Page to Instagram (for authentication) you receive SSL errors, then add the following Firewall Rule

On the Winbox interface for the devices in question, go to IP > Hotspot > and on the Wall Garden IP List click the +to add the entry:
  • Action: Allow
  • Server: This should be the MAC address you entered before
  • Dst. Host: *api.instagram.com*

Mikrotik's hotspot service is quite amazing considering what it costs. It does have some limitations though. One of these is the fact that you cannot set a data limit to the trial account, only a time limit.
